FLUTE

Imogen

Imogen is an English/American flautist who completed her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with a distinction. She teaches the flute, recorder, and piano and has worked with students of all ages and abilities. Imogen firmly believes that teaching is a collaboration between the teacher and student, and that the pair must work together to improve and progress as a musician. Imogen regularly enters students into music exams, and has prepared students for ABRSM exams, as well as competitions, recitals, and other performances.

Imogen graduated with a Master of Arts in Flute Performances from the Royal Academy of Music in 2018. In 2019, Imogen received a Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Music to work on creative learning and participation projects in schools, hospitals, and care homes across London. She is incredibly passionate about providing musical opportunities to people who might not get regular exposure to classical music. Recent performances have included a summer tour across the east coast of America with her chamber group, “In Tandem”, and performances of Oliver Knussen’s “Where the Wild Things Are” at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and The Alexandra Palace Theatre in London. Imogen also regularly gives solo recitals in churches and care homes across London.
