Katherine

Katherine Allen is a versatile soprano and dedicated music educator with over five years of experience teaching singing to students aged 5 to 18. 

Katherine made her Australian debut at the Sydney Opera House as Paquette in Bernstein’s Candide in 2018 and recently made her European debut in the role of Adela in Reimann’s Bernarda Albas Haus at the Musiktheater im Revier in Germany. 

Katherine recently completed her Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music, studying under Janis Kelly. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2019 and was a Young Artist with Pacific Opera from 2017 to 2020. 

Katherine has received numerous awards, including the Dame Nellie Melba Scholarship, Annie McFarling Opera Scholarship, and Patrick & Vivian Gordon Award with the Melba Opera Trust. She has also been supported by the Royal College of Music’s Dangoor Scholarship, the Australian Music Foundation, the Ian Potter Cultural Trust, and the Tait Memorial Trust.
