Matilde

Matilde is a dedicated and accomplished guitar and piano teacher with a passion for nurturing a love of music in students of all ages. She brings a wealth of experience in both teaching and performance. Matilde is known for her ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Currently teaching with Guildhall Young Artists, and as a freelance instructor, Matilde integrates innovative teaching methods and immersive techniques to help students master musical concepts. Her lessons are enriched by her expertise in classical guitar, theorbo, and baroque guitar, with a special focus on 20th and 21st-century repertoire. Matilde's teaching philosophy emphasizes the development of technical skills alongside creativity and self-expression, ensuring a well-rounded musical education.

In addition to her teaching career, Matilde collaborates with art directors for theatrical, film, and TV performances, and performing at a variety of live events. She has a track record of premiering new compositions and has co-founded OpusPausa, a platform that supports and promotes musicians. Her work has been recognized with multiple guitar competition wins, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft.

Matilde holds an MPerf and MMus from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as well as a BMus (Hons) degree, all specialising in classical guitar. Her professional experience, combined with her passion for education and performance, make her a valuable asset to the musical community.
