Seyie

Seyie is a dedicated piano teacher with a strong passion for teaching young children at the start of their musical journey. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Middlesex University in London, and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music at Kingston University, Seyie combines academic knowledge with practical teaching experience to inspire students in their musical education.

With over 13 years of teaching experience, Seyie has successfully taught piano and vocal music at schools back home in India. She is committed to creating a personalised and engaging learning environment for each student, where their individual strengths and needs are recognised. Seyie’s teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in the basics of music, including rhythm, melody, and music theory, while encouraging creativity and self-expression from the outset.

Before preparing students for formal exams, Seyie focuses on fostering essential skills such as sight-reading, ear training, and building technical proficiency on the piano. Her approach is friendly yet structured, allowing students to progress at their own pace while ensuring they develop the confidence to perform. Seyie aims to make the learning process enjoyable and interactive, using creative methods and engaging exercises to keep young learners motivated.

In addition to private lessons, Seyie worked as an accompanist for school choirs, and also organised and directed musical events for youth groups, promoting community engagement through music.

Seyie is deeply dedicated to helping students build both technical skills and a lasting appreciation for the role of music in their lives. Through her teaching, she strives to nurture the next generation of musicians, encouraging them to find joy and fulfillment in their musical journey.
